Now, click on File > Export Web Page and once again locate the SAME folder where you copied the files into and then give your page a name and click OK.

Finally, you'll want to save your page as a Scrippy file (SSC) in case you want to make changes to it later.  So the final step is to click on File > Save As and once again locate the SAME folder where you saved the other files and give your SSC file a name and click OK.

By doing the above, you assure that the path statement in the html is correct for all your files.  Then all you have to do is use a FTP program and upload all the files (except the SSC files) from your folder or folders to your web site.  If you have them separated into subfolders, then you'll need to upload each folder's files in order to create the whole web site.

Below are a few tips:

Remember, web pages created with Scrippy can only be viewed by people using Internet Explorer Browser 4.0 or later  ...  or Netscape 6.1 and later.

If you change an existing web page, you need to repeat all the steps above so that the changes are saved properly onto your hard drive and then upload the files necessary for the change, including a new htm file for that page.

To spell check your web pages, you can always export them into Outlook Express and run the spell checker on them, note any changes needed, and then make any changes you need back in Scrippy.

If you want to hyperlink something on a web page, the text or the graphic to be hyperlinked must be in a MESSAGE AREA.   If you want to have hyperlinks in different areas of your web page, you need to create separate containers with message areas inside them and position them where you want them.   To create the actual hyperlink, create either the text or add a graphic to a message area ... then to hyperlink it just select the text by highlighting it, or select the graphic by clicking on it,  and then click on Insert > Hyperlink.   In the Type area, click on the drop down arrow and select HTTP:    The address you need is the actual web page address for the page you uploaded that you want to link to, and not the path on your hard drive.

An example of an address would be:

http://www.elmacdezign.co.uk/cm/welcome.htm

If you're unsure about the address, go ahead and upload the page you want to link to your web site and then use your browser and surf to that page.  Once there, just highlight the address line in your browser and push CTRL + C on your keyboard.  Go back to Scrippy where you are to type in the address, erase everything that's there, and then press CTRL + V to insert the address.  I do this with all my hyperlinks, it keeps me from typing it incorrectly.

Be sure to name each graphic or sound file with a different name so that you don't accidentally overwrite a file already in use.  Also, I never use any spaces in my file names to keep from having any trouble with Red Xs.

Finally, here's a really great tip!!  If you're doing an index frame, like the one I have on the left here with buttons and hyperlinks ... once you create the container with the message area, you can then click on that container and click Edit / Copy to copy the entire container and paste it into a new web page needing that same index.   All the graphics and hyperlinks will be there in perfect working order!!
