Have you ever spent half a day working on a piece of stationery, only to have it end up all messed up on the receiver's end because their Outlook Express message window or preview pane was too small when they viewed it ... causing your graphics to overlap or things to end up all out of place??   AAAUUGGHH!!   This has been a real problem, whether you're using Scrippy or regular scripts.  Scrippy now gives you the ability to set a "minimum display size" for your stationery so that the viewer sees your message exactly as you created it!   :O))

When you finish your stationery, as the last step, decide whether you need to set a minimum size for your stationery.  The best way to make this decision is to reduce the size of your Scrippy work area smaller than the average OE Preview Pane and see what happens to your stationery.  The easiest way to do that is to first determine if you are running the Scrippy window maximized at Full Screen.   Check the center box between the - and the X at the very top, right hand corner of the Scrippy Window.  If you see 1 little square in that center box, then you're at full screen and you'll need to click on that square to leave full screen.  If you see 2 little squares up there, then you don't have to do anything.   Next, click on the top title bar of your Scrippy window and if it's not already there, drag it to the top of the screen.  When your Scrippy window is not at full screen, you can grab hold of the sizing corner located at the bottom, right of your Scrippy window as shown in this graphic ..  and pull it up and to the left to shrink the Scrippy preview area.

If everything looks fine at the reduced size, then you're done and it's ready to send.  But if it doesn't look right at the smaller size, for example .. images overlap or a message area gets reduced to a silly size, etc. .. then you'll want to add a "sizing container" in Scrippy 2.   For Scrippy 3, you'll want to set the minimum display size under Options.

Scrippy 3 - Click on Insert and then on Options.  Specify the minimum width and/or height for your stationery.

Scrippy 2 - Insert a  "positioned container" into your stationery with the horizontal and/or vertical size set for the container as needed.   Make sure it's not inside any other containers.  This container can be located anywhere on your left side control panel, but I usually put it at the bottom where it's easy to find.  Don't change anything in this container except the horizontal and/or vertical  "Specified Size" values to match the size you need.

Usually entering a sizing container of 650x650 works well for most of my creations, but not always.  I start out with that figure and then physically resize my Scrippy work area again to see how things look.  If those figures don't work for that particular stationery, then I make adjustments as needed to those figures.  This represents the smallest window size in which your stationery looks good.

By using a sizing container, if someone's preview pane is smaller than the minimum size you set in your "sizing container", then they'll get scroll bars in Outlook Express that they can use to view your stationery as you created it and nothing will move or overlap in your message.

Tip -- Whenever I get scroll bars on someone's stationery, I try opening it up full screen to see it all at once.  Many people create their stationery for full screen viewing.  I keep the "folder list" button on my Outlook Express tool bar so that I can toggle it on and off to see the full width of a message.
