This Scrippy uses multidirectional backgrounds to produce this effect.  I've numbered the graphics to help you see the settings for each background.

This one is set so that the four squares open up and then stay open.  This is accomplished by increasing the Horizontal and Vertical spacing to a large number .. in this case 1500.   However, if you watch it long enough they will eventually repeat from the center out.  

To create this Scrippy, I inserted a positioned container and set the size of that container to be twice the width and height of the square graphics.   In this case the graphics are 150x150 so I made the container 300x300.

Next into that container, I inserted 4 separate positioned containers and set the size to be the same as the largest contained image (or you can specify 150x150).   

Inside each of these containers I insert a background.   Each of the backgrounds scrolls a different direction so that the squares all move away from each other.
