Note:  If the viewer's preview pane is too narrow to display all the text in the container, Scrippy will automatically provide a scroll bar so that all the text can be read.

To test how this works, reduce the width of your browser window.  If you're currently viewing it full screen, click the center restore button at the top, right hand corner of your browser, next to the X.   Now you can mouse over the left side of the browser window until you get a double pointed arrow, and then drag the left side of the browser window to the right.  As you do, you'll see that the containers change their sizes.

Don't forget to restore your browser to full size again by clicking that same center button to maximize your window.

Return to Postitioned Container Example Page

This positioned container automatically resizes itself to the full width of the viewer's window, while maintaining the vertical height you specify.

To do this, insert your positioned container and set the horizontal layout setting for the Left and Right Edges at 0 pixels for each.  The vertical layout determines the height and position of your container, for this one I set the size at 215 pixels and the position at 30 pixels from the top.

This positioned container will maintain a constant 125 pixel distance from the edges regardless of the size of the viewer's window, while maintaining the vertical height that you specify.

To do this, insert your positioned container and set the horizontal layout setting for the Left and Right Edges at 125 pixels each.  Again, the vertical layout determines the height and position of your container.  For this one I set the size at 270 pixels and the position at 265 pixels from the top.
