About Me

My name is Lin, although I have been through several 'nicknames' since I started making Stationery and writing Tutorials.

Bandit, lindamac and Lmac being a few.

I started making Stationery when I got my first PC in 1998. Since I was also learning how to use a computer for the first time, I struggled a little.

A few online friends came to my rescue, and I started to enjoy a new hobby.

When Scrippy first appeared, I was a script purist, and I vowed I would never even look at Scrippy, let alone use it.

A friend that was using Scrippy made a bet with me that I would not be able to use it, and that was like a red rag to a bull. I downloaded Scrippy, and set about finding how it worked.

From that day, I was hooked, and it is the only way I have made Stationery since.

Like most people at the time, I learned from Cybermouse, who has since become a good and valuable friend.

I started writing Tutorials for Scrippy when we still had Scrippy 2 version, and ran a few online Yahoo Groups. Everything I write is unique, I never use anything made by others except in my groups. I am always proud to present a new design from a student, and will always put their name as author in the ticker.

I now run basic, intermediate, advanced, extreme and specialist group , and have moderators running the same groups in Dutch and Danish.

Last year I went to Holland and met some of the 500 students we have . It was a really great experience, and made me realise how much enjoyment we can give to people through a hobby like Scrippy.

We had a party for nearly the whole day, and we all enjoyed it to much .

If you would like to see what we got up to, some photos are posted HERE

I have found also that many of the students are ill, or disabled, or have other problems, and for them a hobby like Scrippy is a lifeline.

Several times I have wanted to give up, because we have so much theft of Tutorials in our Community, both PSP and Scrippy, so much dishonesty.

BUT, for those people, and all of the other honest people who have enjoyed my Tutorials over the years, I doubt I will.

My one thing, above all other, is to say

'Scrippy should be fun', enjoy it

Lin
